Text Amendment\r\n<li>\r\nCounty Leadership (Direction)(lnitial Goal June 2015)\r\n<li>\r\nCounty Planner (Implementation and Support)\r\n<li>\r\nResponse to<!--more-->\r\n\r\n Development Issues with Private Property\r\n<li>\r\nOwners\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\nDwellings destroyed by tornadoes, denial of dwellings and\r\naccessory dwellings, denial of replacement\/improvement of older\r\nmanufactured housing, noise related complaints, denial of\r\nmanufactured houses vs. site built houses, and denial of dividing\r\nland for families\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<li>\r\nBetter Balance Private Property Owner Rights vs. Moody\r\nAFB Protection\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p style=\"text-align:center;font-size:120%\">\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/govt\/loco\/2015-11-11--TXT-2015-01-MAZ\/2015-11-10X-X11-30XGLPCXPacket-0026.html\">\r\nWe are not here to . . .<\/a>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\nWe are not here to benefit a developer\r\n<li>\r\nWe are not here to benefit a small group of developers\r\n<li>\r\nWe are not here to benefit a large group of developers\r\n<li>\r\nWe are not here to create loopholes for developers\r\n<li>\r\nPrimary Target Market: Existing Property Owners,\r\nCitizens, and Tenants trying to maintain or improve their\r\nexisting property\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>\r\nThat would be great!\r\n<p>\r\nAlthough I don&#8217;t know whether existing property owners really like being a target of the county government.\r\nThey didn&#8217;t seem to like it\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2015\/08\/videos-rural-revaluation-meeting-at-farm-bureau-2015-08-04.html\">\r\nwhen the Tax Assessors targetted them<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\nQuestions remain about these this MAZ text amendment rationale, such as:\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>If it&#8217;s not about developers, what&#8217;s this &#8220;Response to Development Issues with Private Property&#8221;?\r\n<li>Who is this &#8220;County Leadership&#8221;?\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>\r\n <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/11\/video-playlist-lcc-2012-11-12.html#REZ-2012-17\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017c339379a8970b-pi.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nPardon my scepticism, but I know I&#8217;m not alone in having some doubts still as to why really are these changes being proposed.\r\nAfter\r\nthe infamous 12 November 2012 Lowndes County Commission Work Session\r\nwhen the then-chairman\r\n <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/11\/video-playlist-lcc-2012-11-12.html#REZ-2012-17\">\r\nasked a developer to speak but didn&#8217;t ask any opponents to speak<\/a>,\r\nand the next day at the Regular Session County Planner Jason Davenport\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/11\/video-playlist-lcc-2012-11-13.html#REZ-2012-17\">\r\nsaid <em>the developer<\/em> had asked for that version of the MAZ changes, TEX-2012-02, to be tabled<\/a>, and at the 26 November 2015 GLPC meeting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/12\/developer-didnt-get-his-way-change-the-zoning-code-glpc-2012-11-26.html\">Davenport first talked about density requirements<\/a>.\r\nAt the next Lowndes County Commission Work Session, Davenport\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/12\/glimmers-of-open-discussion-about-moody-afb-zoning-by-the-county-commission-lcc-2012-12-10.html\">explicitly linked to a rezoning case on the same agenda<\/a>.\r\nA rezoning case by someone who mentioned a rezoning in 2007,\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/12\/more-developer-favors-at-the-county-commission-work-session-this-morning-lcc-2012-12-10.html\">which was when he got $130,000 in road construction labor from the Commission<\/a> because of\r\n&#8220;an unforeseen Department of Transportation requirement regarding a costly intersection improvement.&#8221;\r\n<p>\r\nThe Chamber\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2012\/12\/chamber-opposes-zoning-code-change-for-developer-near-moody.html\">\r\nhas been opposing this thing since December 2012<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\nInquiring minds would like to know who this &#8220;County Leadership&#8221;
