\r\nThe Planning Commission meets Monday evening to consider\r\n\r\nthose ULDC amendments<\/a>,\r\n\r\n\"MAZ-ULDC-text-amendments-001\"<\/a>\r\nso county staff will recommend to the County Commission at their Monday 8:30 AM Work Session that they table the MAZ text changes\r\nat their Regular Session Tuesday 5:30 PM evening.\r\nMeanwhile,\r\n\r\nthe Air Force wants to maintain the road rights of way<\/a>\r\nfor Davidson Road and along Grassy Pond.\r\nAnd the\r\nLand Bank Authority<\/a>\r\nwants to appoint some more members, acording to “the attached resolution”\r\nwhich of course we the taxpayers aren’t allowed to see without an open records request.\r\n

\r\nElected Probate Judge McDowell can appoint a part-time associate judge,\r\nbut she needs the county commission\r\nto approve funding the salary<\/a>.\r\nThe DA wants\r\nto continue a Victims of Crime Act<\/a> Victims Service grant.\r\n

\r\nAnnual renewal of\r\nhealth care service provider<\/a>\r\nand\r\nSection 125 Plan Document<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nTwo more Lift Station (sewage) pumps, at\r\nVal-Tech<\/a> new for $20,076.42 and at\r\nWhitewater<\/a> repairs for $13,353.65.\r\n

\r\nFinally, bids for\r\nDisaster Related Debris Removal Proposals<\/a> required by FEMA, plus the usual beer, wine, and liquor licenses.\r\n

        \r\nAn extract from the agenda item sheet, which mentions the AICUZ\r\n\r\nMoody AFB presented at the SGRC meeting in Pearson<\/a> 23 July 2015:\r\n

        \r\nSince the initial public presentation of these amendments in May the\r\nmain changes have been aimed at allowing additional density for\r\nproperties in MAZ II and MAZ III and some type of consideration for\r\nthe existing noise regulations. The density allowances were\r\ninitially presented as being further limited than the previous\r\nproposal (TXT-2012-02) and would only apply to families and\r\nagricultural workers, similar to what is currently allowed in the\r\nagricultural zonings in the County (EA and R-A), The initial\r\npresentation of these family and agricultural worker types of\r\nallowances were ultimately withdrawn due to concerns over the\r\nlong-term potential increases in density and the negative impacts\r\nthat they may have on Moody AFB. In lieu of those family and\r\nagricultural worker density increases County leadership has\r\ndiscussed investigating some form of financial relief for MAZ\r\nproperty owners. It should also be noted that after the initial\r\ndrafts of the text amendments were released in May Moody AFB\r\nreleased their latest Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ)\r\nStudy (July 9th). The AICUZ study should serve as a baseline for\r\nthe base’s current land use impacts, land use concerns, and land use\r\ndirection. A helpful aspect of this recent AICUZ study is that it\r\napplies to more than just Moody AFB property The AICUZ also studies\r\nproperties outside of Moody AFB in the surrounding area. For further\r\nreference, additional clarification and background on compatible\r\nland uses, density, and noise is included within the AICUZ study .\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
