\r\nI am a homeowner in Suwannee County,\r\nby Boys Ranch,\r\nI currently do not live there, I live in Corpus Christi [Texas].\r\nI’m sure some people here regard me as the enemy, \r\nbut I am in total opposition to what you all have planned.\r\n

\r\nBy profession, I’m what’s known as\r\n\r\n a [?] drilling fluids engineer.\r\nI’ve been drilling wells since 1981, and in all likeliehood\r\nsome of what they propose to move through the pipeline is\r\ncoming from wells that I helped drill.\r\nI spent the last 18 months drilling up in northeast Pennsylvania,\r\n[in] the Marcellus.\r\nI also drilled down in Eagle Ford… Texas.\r\n

\r\nWhat you all have proposed is total insanity.\r\n

\r\nAreas where we were drilling [had] minimal impact on the environment,\r\nand could easily be mitigated.\r\n

\r\nWhen we do horizontal drilling, we’re drilling with an \r\n8 1\/2 inch bit.\r\nI’ve dealt with lost circulation; I’ve dealt with blowouts.\r\nLost circulation itself can take weeks if not months\r\nto mediate.\r\n

\r\nExperts? I have no faith in experts, because\r\nexperts lie. I lied in my job, because that’s just the name of the game.\r\nYou have a 2,000 page report put together by nameless people,\r\nwho have absolutely no responsibility, who will bear no responsibility to this.\r\n

\r\nSabal Trail?\r\nNobody will bear any personal responsibility.\r\nF.E.R.C.?\r\nSame thing.\r\nSomething goes wrong: not our problem….\r\n

\r\nI’m sure you’ll have geologists who will come out and say\r\nthat well, we studied the situation. Nothing we did \r\nled to this, it was just a naturally occurring event.\r\n

\r\nIf you lose your home, or your use of your property,\r\nwell, if you’re old, you’ll be dead before it’s settled;\r\nif you’re young, you’ll be old before it’s settled.\r\nExperts and the attorneys will have a field day.\r\n

\r\nThe companies, they don’t care.\r\nIt’s just greed and arrogance.\r\n

\r\nAgain, this aquifer, this area, was millions of years in the making.\r\n

\r\nIf you go through with this, you stand a very good chance\r\nof destroying this the rest of our lifetimes.\r\nAnd in many lifetimes to come.\r\n
