Sources for the Skeptic<\/H3>\nI have no idea why anyone would call companies in Mexico or Canada to\nresearch the feasibility of local solar energy projects. I also do not\nknow what type of freezer the writer of \u201cSeeking affordable solar\nenergy\u201d has. Either way, I will be happy to share more information,\nso that anyone interested in solar energy can do more research and\neducate himself.\n

\n\n<\/a>\nAt the state level you can contact the \u201cGeorgia Solar Energy\nAssociation\u201d (www.gasolar.org\/<\/a>)\nto learn more about the viability\nof solar power in 2011, which is quite different from the situation\nin 2001. A larger solar firm our community\n\n\nhas experience with is\n\n<\/a>\n\u201cHannah Solar\u201d, which will also be happy to assist you in finding\nanswers to reasonable questions (\nwww.hannahsolar.com\/<\/a>). We also have\na small local business in Valdosta called \u201cSouth GA Solar Power\u201d\n

\nAs I stated in my guest column:\n

\n\u201cshould you own a home with southern\nexposure that gives you plenty of solar radiation, this is a perfect\ntime to invest in a solar array. A 5kw unit costs about $9,000 after\ntax savings have been applied.
