\r\nNew County Extension Agent\r\n\r\nJenna Kicklighter<\/a> will introduce herself at Monday morning’s Work Session,,\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nthey’ll consider a\r\na\r\nBeer and Wine License for Dollar General<\/a>,\r\na\r\nnew secondary\r\nInternet Bandwidth Contract<\/a>\r\nwith\r\nMediacom<\/a>,\r\nand the US 41 N widening has already spawned\r\nfurther road paving<\/a>\r\nto promote development:\r\n

\r\n

\r\nLowndes County Engineering has received a proposal\r\n\r\n from Innovate\r\nEngineering Solutions for the surveying, Right of Way deed preparation,\r\nand engineering design of Stewart Circle. Stewart Circle is located in\r\nthe Mineola area off of Old US 41 North. Once paved, Stewart Circle will\r\nserve as a secondary ingress and egress point for the Val North Commercial\r\nDevelopment. Lowndes County Utilities service this area so there is\r\npotential for further commercial development along Stewart Circle.\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nRemember what Tax Assessor Mike Hill said:\r\n“Paving roads drives development.”\r\nThat’s development as in subdivisions.\r\n

\r\nMaybe there are also other kinds of development the county could be promoting,\r\nlike solar panels at the airport<\/a>\r\nor broadband for the rest of the county, not just for the County Palace.\r\n
