\nThe Valdosta Airport Authority Board met Wednesday at its office in the\nmain terminal of the\n\nValdosta Regional Airport.<\/a>\n

\n\nValdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority<\/a>\n

\nValdosta Regional Airport is owned and operated by the Valdosta-Lowndes\nCounty Airport Authority. This six-member authority was established\nin 1987 and is comprised of three appointees from the city and three\nappointees from the county. The full-time staff of the Airport Authority\nis comprised of the executive director\/airport manager and 5 additional\nstaff members. The following personnel are members of the Airport\nAuthority:\n

\n(229) 333-1833\n<\/td><\/tr><\/table>\nThe board reviewed several airport improvement projects in various stages\nof completion — including a remedy to the drainage problem, a proposal\nfor a new Airport Rescue and Firefighting vehicle and new ARFF station\nand the anticipated opening of the new Subway restaurant.\n<\/blockquote>\nYet another Authority.\nThis ones executive director, Jim Galloway,\n\nwho was appointed January 1st,<\/a>\ncan sign contracts for it:\n

\nThe proposal for a new ARFF vehicle and station, covered by AIP-28,\nis complete and Galloway brought the contracts that were ready for\napproval signatures.\n

\n“The way this contract is written is not where the mayor can sign it,\nit’s where we can actually sign it,” explained Galloway.\n<\/blockquote>\nGood thing the VDT was there.\n
