{"id":1365,"date":"2011-10-20T22:04:24","date_gmt":"2011-10-21T02:04:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2011\/10\/why-cuee-turned-shy.html"},"modified":"2011-10-20T22:04:24","modified_gmt":"2011-10-21T02:04:24","slug":"why-cuee-turned-shy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2011\/10\/why-cuee-turned-shy.html","title":{"rendered":"Why CUEE turned shy"},"content":{"rendered":"So why did\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/10\/cuee-turns-shy.html\">\nthe list of community supporters disappear from CUEE&#8217;s website?<\/a>\nAfter a most educational meeting this evening so peculiar only\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/6265380398\/in\/photostream\/\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6225\/6265380398_df7f356bf1_m.jpg\"><\/a>\nLemony Snicket could really write it up properly (more on that later),\nI found the answer to that question.\n<p>\nFirst I asked Lee Henderson, who was on that list.\nHe admitted he knew, but he wouldn&#8217;t say.\nHe suggested I talk to CUEE.\n<p>\nTom Kurrie walked up at that point, and I asked Henderson if Kurrie was CUEE.\nHenderson said I would know that better than he would, which caused me to\nrefer to Black Crow&#8217;s Mr. Henderson as very modest and humble.\n<p>\nTom Kurrie remarked that he always saw me with a camera,\nand at a previous event I&#8217;d asked him what was in unification for him.\nHe reminded me he&#8217;d answered there was nothing in it for him,\nand I observed that was a good answer.\nAnyway, I asked\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cueeinc.com\/board.html\">\nCUEE Board Member Mr. Thompson Kurrie, Jr.<\/a>\nwhat went with the list of supporters.\nHe allowed as how he didn&#8217;t really visit the web site very often,\nsince he wasn&#8217;t good with computers.\n<p>\nSo I asked who would know?\nHe said that fellow over there at the table with the sign-in sheet,\nDaniel Storey.\n\n<!--more-->\n<p>\nSo I went and asked Daniel Storey.\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/98706376@N00\/6265380216\/\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/farm7.static.flickr.com\/6118\/6265380216_60d043535b_m.jpg\"><\/a>\nHe said yes, he did know.\nSomeone else used to take care of the website before he started recently.\n(The VDT wrote 14 September 2011 that CUEE campaign manager Daniel Storey\n<a href=\"http:\/\/valdostadailytimes.com\/todays-top-stories\/x803554354\/CUEE-fires-back-launches-Vote-YES-campaign\">\nwas hired &#8220;recently&#8221;.<\/a>)\n<p>\nOK, so what does that have to do with the missing list?\nHe said so many people called in asking to be taken off it\nthat he took the list down.\nI asked him if he recalled who had called in.\nHe said with a grin that his memory failed him on that.\nI confirmed his name was indeed Daniel Storey.\n<p>\nSo that&#8217;s why: too many people didn&#8217;t want to be listed\nas CUEE supporters.\n<p>\nI have related this shaggy dog story in some detail\nso as to indicate that they also seem somewhat bashful\nabout admitting the reason.\n<p>\n-jsq\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"So why did the list of community supporters disappear from CUEE&#8217;s website?
