\r\n\r\nNuclear Expert Paul Blanch to Present Critical New Information about\r\nDangerous Siting of Spectra AIM Pipeline Next to Indian Point\r\nNuclear Power Plant\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

\r\nOn Wednesday, July 15th at 2:00 PM nuclear expert Paul Blanch will\r\npreview critical new information about the Spectra AIM Pipeline and\r\nthen make a formal presentation to a special meeting of the Nuclear\r\nRegulatory Commission (NRC) Petition Review Board.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nMedia is invited to the preview press conference and then to listen\r\nto Mr. Blanch and pipeline expert Richard Kuprewicz present to the\r\nNRC Petition Review Board.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nFollowing the NRC Presentation, there will be an opportunity for\r\nquestions. Media is also invited to tour the proposed pipeline site\r\nbefore and\/or after the presentation.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nSpectra Energy has received approval by the Federal Energy\r\nRegulatory Commission to build a new 42 inch diameter high pressure\r\ngas pipeline in close proximity to vital structures at the Indian\r\nPoint nuclear power plant, as part of the Algonquin Incremental\r\nMarket Project. Mr. Blanch, a nuclear expert, and Mr. Kuprewicz, a\r\npipeline safety expert, will reveal that the risk assessment used as\r\nthe basis for approval of the AIM project must be negated because\r\nthe Nuclear Regulatory Commission knowingly used erroneous\r\ninformation, not based on sound science, to improperly evaluate the\r\nplant’s ability to achieve failsafe shutdown in the event of a\r\npipeline rupture.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
