She never saw station. She saw people.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nShe died Sunday. Lyle Parrott<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\nObituary, VDT, 15 June 2015,\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valdostadailytimes.com\/obituaries\/nancy-rutledge-wainer-parrott\/article_815f359e-13ab-11e5-b17a-5bd700f825c7.html\">\r\nNancy Rutledge Wainer Parrott<\/a>,\r\n<blockquote style=\"font-size:100%\">\r\n<p>\r\nNancy Rutledge Wainer Parrott, 80, of Hahira, Ga., widow of Jesse\r\nLyle Parrott, MD, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at\r\nher home surrounded by her two sons and her\r\n&ldquo;daughters-in-love.&rdquo;\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nNancy is survived by<!--more-->\r\n\r\n Jonathan Rutledge Parrott, MD and his wife,\r\nKatie, of Valdosta, and Stephen Price Parrott and his wife, Karen,\r\nof Spartanburg, S.C. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Jessica\r\nLyle, Samuel Price, Jonathan Rultedge, Jr., Emma Kathryn, Bonnie\r\nElizabeth and Sarah Gray. Nancy is also survived by her dear brother\r\nDavid Samuel Wainer, Jr., and his wife Pat, of Ponte Vedra, Fla.,\r\nand her precious sister, Kathie Wainer Owens and her husband, James,\r\nof Valdosta and numerous special nieces and nephews.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nNancy graduated from Valdosta High School with Class of 1951. This\r\nwas the last Class to graduate from VHS under the 11-year system.\r\nShe attended Valdosta State College before moving on to the\r\nUniversity of Georgia where she became a member of Chi Omega\r\nSorority. In 1955, she married Jesse Lyle Parrott, MD, and enjoyed\r\n59 years with the love of her life.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nIn 1970, Nancy made a serious commitment to her Lord and Savior,\r\nJesus Christ. For the rest of her life, He became her strength in\r\nher daily life. Through her years living in Hahira, she served\r\nselflessly in numerous capacities including President of the Hahira\r\nGarden Club, Sunday school teacher to young adults, charter member\r\nof the Hahira Historical Society, and member of the Hahira City\r\nCouncil. She was an active member of the National Society of the\r\nColonial Dames in the State of Georgia for over 50 years. Her legacy\r\nis her daily ministry to anyone who crossed her path with whom she\r\nshared her love, faith and encouragement.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nFollowing a private family graveside service on Wednesday, June 17,\r\n2015, the family will receive friends and loved ones from 11 a.m.-1\r\np.m. in the beloved yard at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Jesse Parrott.\r\nThe family would like to express their gratitude to Mr. Jimmy Gosier\r\nfor his faithful care of the yard.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\nIn lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hahira Methodist\r\nChurch, 100 E.
