George Bennett of First Christian Church of Valdosta\r\ngets creation care plus 8% return on investment in his 20 solar panels,\r\njust like the Savannah\r\nGeorgia National Guard got two years ago from the same solar installer.\r\nBennett is very well known around Valdosta and Lowndes County, Georgia,\r\nso his solar decision could be quite influential.\r\nIf he didn’t even wait\r\nfor the new solar financing law<\/a>,\r\nsolar must be something lots of people will want,\r\nespecially when they see Rev. Bennett explain it in terms they understand.\r\n

\r\n“Since I’m a minister, I believe that the universe we are\r\nliving in was created by the God of my understanding and getting\r\nthat direct energy source from the sun is a part of God’s\r\nplan,” said Bennett, who is a minister of the First Christian\r\nChurch of Valdosta on North Patterson Street.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nBennett’s decision to go solar was not a difficult one for him to\r\nmake. He had been thinking about it for years. He researched\r\ninstallers, consulted financial advisers and came to the conclusion\r\nthat solar energy was good for the country, good for the environment\r\nand good for his soul.\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\n“We are now able to directly access God’s energy source, the\r\nsun. I believe there will be a majority of people who will be able\r\nto access solar energy within the next 20 years,” said\r\nBennett. “I believe that it’s essential for the strength and\r\nlongevity of our country.”\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nInstaller Bill Zagorski of Solar Energy USA,\r\nwho also did\r\n\r\na 400-panel installation for the Georgia National Guard in Savannah<\/a>,\r\nsaid his busines had doubled in the past few years, and:\r\n

\r\n“I think it’s public awareness. I think people are starting to\r\nfigure out that they can make their own energy without burning coal\r\nor natural gas.”\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n
