\r\nWhy is the county accepting\r\nBids for Bottled Water Service<\/a>?\r\nIf its own water, or Valdosta’s, is good enough for the taxpayers,\r\nshouldn’t it be good enough for Commission and staff?\r\nThey’ve also got a\r\nBid for Coffee Service<\/a>,\r\nbut we don’t grow coffee here, as far as I know, so that’s not the same issue.\r\n

\r\nWith many local people needing jobs, why does the county continue to renew an\r\nAnnual Contract Renewal for Prison Work Details<\/a>?\r\n

\r\nLooks like Joseph G. Stevens will be reappointed to the\r\nLowndes County Public Facilities Authority<\/a>.\r\nBoth G. Norman Bennett and incumbent Anthony Payton want to be appointed to the\r\none slot opening on the\r\nValdosta-Lowndes County Airport Authority<\/a>.\r\nTheir applications were not included with the agenda, so who can say\r\nwhich one is most qualified?\r\n

\r\nI guess they didn’t decide\r\n\r\nto relocate the Public Defender’s Office into\r\nthe historic Lowndes County Courthouse<\/a>,\r\nsince on the agenda is a three-year\r\nLease Agreement for the Public Defender’s Office<\/a> at its present location.\r\n

\r\nLooks like J. Glenn Gregory will provide the\r\nArchitectural Services for the Lowndes County Civic Center Renovations<\/a>\r\nand the\r\nArchitectural Services for the Naylor Community Center<\/a>, both funded via SPLOST VII.\r\nBoth apparently without competitive bids.\r\n
