\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nADS trash collection price and performance\r\nwasn’t on the agenda, but even\r\n\r\nformer Commissioner Richard Lee<\/a>\r\nstood up to speak about it two weeks ago at the April 14th 2015 Regular Session, along with two other citizens\r\n\r\nDavid Eaton<\/a>\r\nand\r\nme<\/a>.\r\nSee also\r\n\r\nVDT trash story<\/a>.\r\nThe VDT didn’t pick up on \r\n\r\nAnn Swayze’s smoot and soot concerns<\/a>\r\nalso being related, because nobody stood up to complain about burning in\r\nFoxborough before the collection centers closed.\r\n

\r\n\r\nCommissioners did the right thing and unanimously\r\n\r\nrezoned Vallotton Farms back to Estate Agriculture<\/a>,\r\nlike it was before county-wide rezoning happened.\r\nIt wasn’t like the County Planner said, “it has developed around it\r\nin an urban way”.\r\nThe subject land and landowners didn’t do that:\r\nother people have built subdivisions around it the the county’s\r\nactive promotion.\r\nAnd for once agriculture won, after\r\n\r\nlandowner attorney Bill Langdale<\/a>,\r\nCommissioner\r\n\r\nDemarcus Marshall<\/a>,\r\nand I<\/a> spoke up for it.\r\n

\r\nThey’re even going to\r\n\r\npreserve the canopy on Boring Pond Road<\/a>\r\nand\r\n\r\nI thanked the County Engineer for that<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nThe two Sheriff’s requests for\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nbody armor\r\nand\r\nHigh Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic (HEAT) Team grant<\/a>,\r\nwere tabled until the next meeting.\r\nThe\r\n\r\nVickers rezoning item<\/a>\r\nwas withdrawn by applicant,\r\n(the County Planner at the previous morning’s Work Session\r\nexplained that was because they’d worked out a way for the property\r\nto count as five acres so no rezoning was necessary).\r\n

\r\nEverything else was unanimously approved, including\r\nthe\r\n\r\nVickers rezoning to commercial<\/a>,\r\nthe\r\n\r\nthree<\/a>\r\n\r\nwater-related<\/a>\r\n\r\nitems<\/a>,\r\na\r\nGeorgia Department of Agriculture Spay\/Neuter Grant Request<\/a>,\r\nanother paving items (Resurfacing of 3 County Roads (Howell Road, Whitewater Road and Ousley)<\/a>)\r\na\r\nFuel Island Upgrade<\/a>,\r\nand\r\nthe\r\nExecution of the Resolution for the Hazardous Waste Trust Fund<\/a>.\r\nThat last Resolution\r\nis about reimbursement for \r\nmonitoring of the closed Clyattville landfill<\/a>\r\nabout which\r\n\r\nthe county chooses to reveal very little<\/a>.\r\nLast I heard, the Sabal Trail methane pipeline was still proposed to go through\r\nthere with its hundred-foot right of way and 36-inch pipe.\r\nI wonder how that would affect monitoring?\r\n
