Quarterman @ LCBOE 4 Oct 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8I5Xhrm5UDg&#038;list=PL251373485138A2AA&#038;index=23&#038;feature=plpp_video\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/i1.ytimg.com\/vi\/8I5Xhrm5UDg\/default.jpg\"><\/a><br \/>\nAs my mother, who used to teach at Pine Grove Elementary School (not a High School at that time), used to say, it takes a big man to admit it when he&#8217;s wrong,<br \/>\nand <a href=\"\/blog\/2011\/10\/consolidation-was-about-economic-development-fred-wetherington-lcboe-4-oct-2011.html\"><br \/>\nFred Wetherington is a big man<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nbecause he thought it was a good idea.<br \/>\nHe looked at the evidence; he looked at the research;<br \/>\nand determined it was not a good idea.<\/p>\n<p>\nI look forward to the members of CUEE standing up and being big men and women<br \/>\nbecause the research, their own research, and the research that<br \/>\nwe&#8217;ve heard tonight,<br \/>\nthe research from Tennessee, and the research from Troup County:<br \/>\nconsolidation is not a good idea.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And I&#8217;m still waiting for some CUEE big men or women&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>\nAnyway, my question:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nAnd one reason that it&#8217;s not a good idea that we&#8217;ve heard tonight is that<br \/>\n&#8230; taxes for people in the county will go up.<br \/>\nFor people in the city too, but<br \/>\nparticularly for people in the county outside Valdosta who do not get<br \/>\nto vote on the referendum:<br \/>\nIs that not taxation without representation?\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Supt.
