&#8220;coding error&#8221;.\nCan deliver about 200 carts a day, one crew is doing nothing\nbut handling complaints.\nSome carts delivered without pickup information; he blamed that on the wind.\nMissed pickups.\nWhen the Bemiss center (presumably the one at Pine Grove)\nwas closed over 3,000 people had not signed up,\nand there is trash on the ground that ADS is picking up.\nAfter 30 days\n\n<!--more-->\nthey&#8217;ll stop picking it off the ground\nand tell people they need to sign up.\nLong hold times due to many people calling in at once.\nOver 7 people on the phone every day taking calls; 500 calls a day.\nSomebody complained about a callback fee, but ADS doesn&#8217;t have that.\nADS sent out used carts, claiming they were recycling.\nHave ordered over 6500 new axles, wheels, etc.\n&#8220;As people call in, they&#8217;ll get repaired.&#8221;\nADS may credit people who have called and waited more than a week for a cart.\nHe said of 12,000 total residences, about 10,300 have signed up.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LavCBMzrwkM?list=PLshUv86fYkiH5rULsXxgGSvnwWy464Z-s\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\"><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<H3>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nrb4bHCVGEE&amp;list=PLshUv86fYkiH5rULsXxgGSvnwWy464Z-s\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\" class=\"at-xid-6a0120a58214e4970b017ee86caa87970d\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/6a0120a58214e4970b017ee86caa87970d-pi.jpg\"    \/><\/a>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nrb4bHCVGEE&amp;list=PLshUv86fYkiH5rULsXxgGSvnwWy464Z-s\">\nDemarcus Marshall to ADS: can you come back tomorrow and get in the newspaper?<\/a>\n<\/H3>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;\">\nCommissioner Marshall said he wished the people had the information\nADS was telling the Commission, and he asked Shepler to come back\ntomorrow for the Regular Session, and to put something in the newspaper.\nShepler said he thought putting an ad in the newspaper would help.\nAnd he thought the centers closing got peoples&#8217; attention, adding:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote>\nWe will provide this county quality service.\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;\">\nChairman Bill Slaughter asked whether Shepler had said he had\n125 carts scheduled for example for today to be delivered.\nShepler confirmed that, and said he was getting carts to everybody\nwho wanted them.\nHe clarified by saying it took about four days.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;\">\nCommissioner John Page also asked Shepler to return tomorrow\nevening to talk to the public.\nShepler said he had to be in Biloxi tomorrow, but he would\nsend somebody.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: normal;\">\nCommissioner Richard Raines\nasked whether a customer could go get a cart rather than\nwaiting for delivery.\nRaines also wondered if there was &#8220;a representative of the media&#8221;\npresent.\nShepler said people could come to their office and get a cart.\nApparently the VDT reporter was not there.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nrb4bHCVGEE?list=PLshUv86fYkiH5rULsXxgGSvnwWy464Z-s\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\"><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>\nBack in November I wrote\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/11\/county-trash-plan-already-failing.html\">\nCounty trash plan already failing<\/a>\nwhen Allgreen Services, turfed out by Lowndes County&#8217;s grant of a monopoly\nto ADS, took up all its garbage cans.\nOne anonymous blog commenter didn&#8217;t like that.\nSo, what do you think now?\nCan we call it failing yet?\n<\/p>\n<p>\n-jsq\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Not on the agenda, Veolia, excuse me, ADS, stood up to talk about trash collection Monday morning&#8217;s Lowndes County Commission Work Session.
