\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nOn the eve of trial, Citizen journalist Nydia Tisdale settled her\r\nlongstanding federal lawsuit asserting the right to film public\r\nmeetings for $200,000 along with a new policy that ensures future\r\nfilming of Cumming City Council meetings.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

The Mayor’s actions were a blatant\r\nviolation of citizens’ constitutional rights to record public\r\nmeetings.”\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\nThat AJC article also brings up\r\nthe case of the six missing screams<\/a>\r\nwhere Nydia was evicted from a GOP campaign event headlining Gov. Nathan Deal,\r\nmanhandled, and apparently the sheriff’s office edited out her screams from\r\nthe video on her own camera.\r\nBut not from the audio recording of a blogger who had been sitting nearby.\r\n$200,000 may be just a drop in the bucket to what that one’s going to cost somebody.\r\n
