\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nThese videos are of yesterday morning’s Work Session,\r\nand they’re voting right now on\r\n\r\nthe annual grant paperwork<\/a>\r\nfor the county’s on-call bus system, run by MIDS, Inc.,\r\non a\r\n\r\ncommercial<\/a> and a\r\n\r\nsubdivision<\/a> rezoning, both previously recommended\r\nunanimously by the\r\nPlanning Commission<\/a>.\r\nPlus they will accept\r\nUtilities for Creekside West Phase II<\/a>, i.e., water and sewer.\r\nThey will declare at least two\r\n\r\nPotential Conflict(s) of Interest for Commissioner Joyce Evans and County Clerk Paige Dukes<\/a>\r\non the board of the \r\n\r\nhildren’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County, Inc. (CAC)<\/a>,\r\nbefore agreeing for the Chairman to sign a\r\n\r\nResolution<\/a>\r\nto submit to the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for a\r\n$500,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the CAC.\r\nWe don’t know what those conflicts are, because as usual\r\nthe county only published the agenda sheets for \r\n\r\neach agenda item<\/a>,\r\nwithout the rest of the details that are in the board packets.\r\n

\r\n\r\nJudge H. Arthur McLane spoke<\/a> yesterday about the\r\n\r\nCourthouse Preservation Committee<\/a>; see\r\nLAKE videos of its public meetings<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nTonight they have Citizens Wishing to Be Heard on the\r\nagenda<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nIt’s a welcome change that for rezonings they now consider traffic\r\non nearby roads, unlike\r\n\r\nback in 2011 when then-Chairman Ashley Paulk said<\/a>:\r\n

\r\nI’m not going to argue Bemiss Highway, it’s not a pertinent fact.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n

\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nWho knows? Next maybe they’ll consider expanding to\r\n\r\nregular routes on the bus system<\/a>.\r\n
