\r\n\"300x400<\/a>\r\nIt’s good the Commission is having these meetings where they can\r\nhear directly from the various department heads.\r\nAnd with LAKE’s videos, you the citizens can hear what the departments\r\nare asking for.\r\n\r\n

\r\nAlso, why are these called budget hearings?\r\nThe public doesn’t get to speak, so they are not actually public hearings,\r\nand they are not the state-required budget hearings before passing a budget:\r\nthey don’t even have a draft budget yet.\r\nAnd the next time the Commission rushes citizen speakers to finish,\r\nremember\r\nthis 14 minutes of dead air<\/a>\r\nor the several others like it in yesterday’s meeting.\r\n

\r\nThey met in the Commission Chambers,\r\nnevermind the address\r\non the Commission’s calendar<\/a>\r\nyesterday,\r\nand\r\n\r\nstill says for today’s meeting<\/a>.\r\n

\r\n\r\nThere’s still no agenda posted, except for paper copies in the Commission building, which read as below.\r\n\r\n\r\n
