\r\n\r\n<\/a>\r\nDr. William R. Grow, District Health Director,\r\n\r\npresented about the state of the Health Department<\/a>,\r\nand County Manager Joe Pritchard\r\n\r\nreported<\/a> revisions to both the county’s Solid Waste Ordinance\r\nand the franchise agreement for solid waste were in progress.\r\nThey ended by going into an\r\n\r\nexecutive session to discuss real estate<\/a>.\r\n

\r\nFor\r\n\r\nParks and Rec Board<\/a>,\r\nformer Lowndes County Commissioner Richard Raines\r\nread a prepared statement, while\r\nScott Willis, hearing specialist with Hearing Care Resources,\r\ngave an extemporaneous presentation, including that he was\r\nformerly on the VLPRA Advisory Board, and he’s been coaching\r\nchildren and working with the elderly.\r\nCommissioners had no questions for either applicant.\r\n

\r\nTonight they’ll vote on\r\n\r\na list of goals<\/a> that is in their packet\r\nbut they haven’t shown you the taxpayers.\r\n

\r\nPerhaps coincidentally,\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nthe county now proposes to widen Old US 41 North<\/a>\r\ntwo weeks after hearing from\r\nopposition to\r\nREZ-2015-02 Devine Subdivision<\/a>\r\n(back on the agenda this time)\r\nfrom residents of nearby\r\nStone Creek about safety due to increased traffic.\r\nA new map of Devine appeared on screen, but still is not linked into the online agenda; video screen capture is included below in this post.\r\n

\r\nAlso on\r\n\r\nthe agenda<\/a> for yesterday morning’s Work Session and for voting at this evening’s Regular Session,\r\nREZ-2015-01 Gramercy 2 is back in the form of\r\nAdopt Resolution accepting infrastructure<\/a> for its predecessor Gramercy 1,\r\nand other items include\r\n\r\nCommunity Development Block Grant Requests<\/a>\r\nand a\r\n\r\nMemorandum of Understanding with the state Department of Transportation<\/a>\r\nabout utilities at the Hahira and North Valdosta Road I-75 exits.\r\n
