\nThis web page version is derived from a manual conversion of the\nofficial document of record for the convenience of the user. Travis\nCounty has posted this notice and agenda in good faith, in compliance\nwith Government Code section 551.056. Please note that, in the event of\na technical problem beyond the county’s control that prevents the county\nfrom posting here or that results in an erroneous posting, notice of\nthis meeting and agenda posted at the courthouse remains valid\n<\/blockquote>\nBy “Backup Materials” they mean the packet the Commissioners got.\n

\nThe rest of that web page fior their 13 December 2011 meeting\nhas video and text for ciizens communications and consent items,\nplus each item that had its backup information in the Commissioners’\npacket is separated out with video, text, and backup links.\n

\nAnd for\n\nnext week’s meeting, 20 December 2011,<\/a>\nthe complete agenda with links to\n\n\neach backup item,\nis already available on the Commission’s public website.\n

\nIncluding for public hearings.\nSo the public knows what’s going on,\nand people who stand up in public hearing can know what they’re commenting on.\n

\nThat’s what local government transparency looks like.\nThe \nLowndes County Commission<\/a>\ncould upgrade\n\nits agendas<\/a> to include links to the backup materials, and the day after\nthe meeting add its own videos.\n
