Your presence made the\r\nevent a success and I look forward to another one in the near\r\nfuture. I have listed the “Topics and Highlights”\r\naddressed at the Town Hall Meeting below for your review. As well, I\r\nhave released my State of the District Address for the public. It is\r\nmy sincere hope that you will remain actively involved in our local\r\ncommunity. In the meantime, I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays\r\nand a blessed New Year!\r\n<\/p>\r\n

\r\nMorning school traffic at Dewar Elementary (Forrest turning onto Mt. Zion).\r\n

\r\n\r\nThere were overwhelming complaints about Advance Disposal Sanitation<\/a>\r\ncustomer service. The complaints included special pick up\r\ntimeframes, adopt-a-highway bags, recyclables, and trash cans turned\r\nover, garbage coming from trucks, pick up days, and rude telephone\r\noperators. As a result, Commissioner Marshall took a vote among\r\nthose present to find out the opinion of reopening at least two bulk\r\nitems waste sites, eliminating the exclusive franchise agreement\r\nwith ADS, and possible cost increase to make accommodations for (2)\r\nwaste sites and eliminating the exclusive contract with ADS. There\r\nwas compelling support for re-opening at least two bulk item sites\r\nand eliminating the exclusive contract with ADS; however, some\r\nsupport dwindled a little in regards to an increase in sanitation\r\nfees to accommodate these changes to a proposed sanitation plan.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
