{"id":11707,"date":"2014-12-05T19:56:43","date_gmt":"2014-12-06T00:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/?p=11707"},"modified":"2014-12-05T20:00:33","modified_gmt":"2014-12-06T01:00:33","slug":"valdosta-proposes-resolution-against-sabal-trail-pipeline-vcc-2014-12-09","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/12\/valdosta-proposes-resolution-against-sabal-trail-pipeline-vcc-2014-12-09.html","title":{"rendered":"Valdosta proposes resolution against Sabal Trail pipeline @ VCC 2014-12-09"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/09\/alternative-4-richland-preston-americus-cordele-ashburn-and-i-75-ferc-to-sabal-trail.html\">\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none\" src=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/89ad70736e0b6bd6db74ca0f7cbde9cb.jpg\"><\/a>\r\nA draft resolution in support of\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/12\/pipeline-resolution-trash-report-tourism-klvb-appointments-lcc-2014-12-08.html\">\r\nLowndes County&#8217;s resolution against the Sabal Trail pipeline<\/a>\r\nwill be discussed by the Valdosta City Council at their\r\nWork Session Tuesday 9 December and very likely voted on at their \r\nRegular Session Thursday 11 December.\r\nThis is according to\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.valdostacity.com\/Index.aspx?page=49\">\r\nValdosta City Council Tim Carroll<\/a>, who has\r\nseen the draft resolution.\r\n<p>\r\nThis would be a very good idea, not just since Valdosta is the county\r\nseat of Lowndes County,\r\nbut also because three alternative routes would go\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/09\/alternative-4-richland-preston-americus-cordele-ashburn-and-i-75-ferc-to-sabal-trail.html\">\r\nright down I-75 through Valdosta<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\nBoth Valdosta City Council meetings are at 5:30 PM at Valdosta City Hall, 216 E Central Ave, Valdosta, GA 31601.\r\nYes, that means the City&#8217;s Work Session is at the same time as\r\nthe County&#8217;s Regular Session when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/12\/pipeline-resolution-trash-report-tourism-klvb-appointments-lcc-2014-12-08.html\">the county proposes to vote on their own resolution Tuesday 9 December 2014<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\nAnother very bad PR week for Spectra, what with<!--more-->\r\n\r\n\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/12\/moultrie-wasnt-asked-about-mgag-gas-from-sabal-trail-wctv.html\">Moultrie&#8217;s Mayor saying on WCTV<\/a>\r\nMoultrie wasn&#8217;t asked about Sabal Trail&#8217;s MGAG agreement\r\nand\r\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/blog\/2014\/12\/spectra-backtracks-on-eminent-domain-in-vdt.html\">\r\nthe VDT quoting Spectra&#8217;s Andrea Grover backtracking on eminent domain<\/a>.\r\n<p>\r\nAnd now not one, but <em>two<\/em> resolutions in the pipeline (little pun there)\r\nfor next week.\r\n<p>\r\n -jsq\r\n<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A draft resolution in support of Lowndes County&#8217;s resolution against the Sabal Trail pipeline will be discussed by the Valdosta City Council at their Work Session Tuesday 9 December and very likely voted on at their Regular Session Thursday 11 December.
