Quarterman @ VCC 2012 02 23"},"content":{"rendered":"<a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/mSekPKgicHw\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;border:none;\"   src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7047\/6928643239_ba4736910c_m.jpg\"><\/a>\nValdosta City Council and Mayor, who may not have been following the private prison issue,\nnow know about it and are aware that they are all implicated in the private prison\ndecision, due to events at the Industrial Authority board meeting\nand the Valdosta City Council meeting, both Thursday 23 February 2012.\n<p>\nAfter remarking that I&#8217;d rather be talking about the additional solar panels\nrecently installed on my farm workshop up here in the north end of the county,\nI recapped the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.l-a-k-e.org\/topics\/incarceration\/letter\/\">\ncase against a private prison<\/a>\nand referred the Valdosta City Council to\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/02\/lte-tell-the-industrial-authority-no-private-prison-john-s-quarterman.html\">\nmy LTE in the VDT of that morning<\/a>\n(Thursday 23 February 2012).\nI remarked that I was disappointed the Industrial Authority\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/02\/crickets-or-what-the-industrial-authority-didnt-say-about-the-private-prison.html\">\nhadn&#8217;t done anything to stop the prison at its meeting earlier that same day.<\/a>\nSince they might be wondering what all this had to do with them, I pointed out that,\nif I could use the word,\nthey were all implicated as mayor and council\nin the private prison decision because\n<a href=\"\/blog\/2012\/02\/who-are-the-local-leadership-who-approved-ccas-private-prison.html\">\nJay Hollis, CCA&#8217;s Manager of Site Acquisition, in his Valdosta-Lowndes County, GA \/ CCA Partnership: Prepared Remarks of August 2010<\/a>,\nlavishly praised the Lowndes County Commission and Chairman and the\nValdosta City Council and mayor.\nAlthough the mayor was different now, and maybe some of the council,\nnonetheless it was the same offices of council and mayor, still implicated.\nI asked for their opinions on that subject.\nPer their custom, they did not offer any at that time.\nSo, maybe we&#8217;ll hear from them later.\nOr maybe the Industrial Authority board will hear from them&#8230;.\n<p>\nHere&#8217;s\n<a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/mSekPKgicHw\">\nthe video:<\/a>\n<p align=\"center\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"480\" height=\"390\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mSekPKgicHw\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<br>\n<small>\nValdosta Mayor and Council are implicated in the private prison &mdash;John S.
