\nLowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine has also shared his thoughts\non the private prison industry:\n\n“If I’m going to house an inmate and if I’m going to be responsible,\nI’d rather them be in my facility not a private prison,”\nsaid Prine.\n“If I’m going to be responsible for them\nI want them to be within my reach.\nthe Sheriff’s Association\nfeels the same way I do.\nI’d say the large majority of Sheriff’s feel the same way about this.\nI don’t want a private facility handling my prisoners.”\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\nHere’s\n\nvideo of Sheriff Prine<\/a> saying most of that a few weeks ago.\n\nThey also mentioned\n\nthe petition<\/a>\nand\nquoted me:\n
